I Almost Loved Being Tagged

For once, I have a title that is less poetic and one-word. Where did my creativity go?

I am so so so so so happy to have gotten "See The Morning" by Chris Tomlin. Oh my gosh, he and his band can really write great worship songs.

Do you know how much I love *heart the drama? Lovers In Paris! Yes, it still remains my favorite Korean drama and the soundtrack remains my favorite soundtrack...listening to Jo Sung Mo's "Nuh Ha Na Man" (Only You) or the famous theme song also sang by Jo Sung Mo, "Nuh Eui Gyut Eu Ro" (From Your Side or something along that line)...and also Soo Hyuk's song, "Guh Jit Mal" (Lie) by Kang In Han....

Yes yes. I admit. I really do do love that drama. Not that I like Lee Dong Gun...no. I didn't like him one bit in LIP...he looks better at Sweet 18. But anyway. I like the drama for the drama. :)

But I wasn't going to talk about this. Some perhaps are already quite flustered with me talking endlessly about two 2004 Korean dramas, or any Korean dramas for any case. Or about Taiwanese dramas.

Yeah, yeah I get you. But one can't help liking dramas. Since now I have heard the original version of LIP and all the rest of dramas, I like them more. Oh, how does all those dubbings makes my head aches! Korean actresses are famous for their deep voice, especially the leads. And yet, the Mandarin dubbings made them sound like they whine all day. No offense to translators. I know you need your job. But STILL! I was so surprised at Han Ji-Hye's voice that I nearly faint when I heard the dubbed version again. Instead of helping us to like her character, Yoon Jung-Sook, the dubbings could make you hate her.

Drivers!

I find vegans a little bizarre. Those who claim that they "don't kill living things" must consider rephrasing themselves. So, plants not living issit? And how bout those who create meat-like vege creations? Aren't they in denial? So is it right to eat 'fu chok' drumstick as if you are eating a chicken drumstick? Hmmm...

Honestly, vegetarians are fine. I have nothing against them. As long they really live freely as a vegetarian, I will say eat balance.

Since I stay in Malaysia, many know that Malaysian drivers (and passengers) can be a little taxing on the mind.

Especially when they are unruly...

I can almost name 10 bad behaviors.

1. Having no brake lights or less than 3. I have seen 2 cars without brake lights. How scary to be behind them!

2. Some motorcyclists love taking the shortcut, therefore they go the wrong side of the lane just to get an Express U-Turn.

3. Honk at you when you cut into their lane even though you safely did so.

4. Don't give signal and then quickly cut into the lane even with cars coming. Worst, cutting into lanes when they are like near the divider between two lanes.

5. Wind down the window and yell at you even though the person was at the wrong so EVER clearly.

6. Cut in and out the lanes and then lean on the accelerator (making the vroom sound..) like as if that person really really really have to go to the toilet.

7. Drivers that purposely block the U-Turn lane so they can get in the front when the traffic light turns green. I've seen one car really purposely stop like that, then reverse and then park slightly slant way, blocking the whole road totally. And they were doing it just to piss the drivers behind off!

8. People who roll down the window and make stupid kissing sounds at girls at the traffic light.

9. People who don't give newly 'P' drivers a chance to park sideways properly. "Don't know how to park, go back to school la!"

10. Motorcyclists who bend or break your side mirrors.

I am so sure somehow we either got victimised or we are one of the 'victimiser'...I did some few offence above..but only 2? The rest I get victimised. Not number 10. They haven't tried it yet.

I'm sure some could give more than 10!

Sometimes, I really 'tabik' these people. Especially those without brake lights.

STPM

I still remember the time when I went to take my STPM results. Being very discreet and secretive, I went when it's time to close shop. Haha...I mean, the staff wants to go for lunch. Yeah, I was that late. The results were suppose to be out early in the morning, but I went during lunch hours. Eh, working mah.

I didn't bother about my results first cause we have to tear the sides to see our results. See, so nice, we get the government helping us to keep our secret.

So anywayz. After signing, I went ahead and tore it open. My relief were immense. The most important thing is I didn't fail any subjects! Especially Maths! I was already starting to have nightmares about failing Maths and subsequently failing to get into some nice uni like where I am in now. Worst, I can't get a scholarship! Yeah, so it's pretty daunting if I should ever fail Maths.

So, imagine my excitement. Almost fail though. Haha...2 minuses, and I'll be gone.

But but but...God had been faithful then. So I managed to obtain a scholarship and then enter into the uni I am in now today. So, it's pretty cool and amazing.

Not only so, I managed to score 4 out of 5 uni applications. I failed the Sunway College interview. Not that I want to enter Sunway after visiting their campus. No offence.

Yeah, it's been a pretty amazing journey. My STPM road.

One thing about Form 6 is that it somehow teaches you to be a little more hardworking. And if you work before Form 6 or after Form 6 while waiting for your uni application results, you get to learn to be independent. Or not. It all depend if you still get allowance from your parents then! And oh, don't work as a promoter. A waiter or office work is still fine. Promoter seems a little too free. I don't know. People I've known working part time as promoter seems to be happily shopping everyday. Haha...but that's just me. Of course, if you have something you really want to buy, and you work for it, somehow the expenditure seemed to be very restricted. Cause really, working for only about RM50 a day isn't really a passport for you to spend on phones, clothes and all that jazz. Some fresh grads are really tight on budget. Some remain tight on budget until now.

One great advice: The more you get, the more you will spend. SO, go figure. (pun not intended)

Then, after you've worked, you will find out that full day job is really tiring. So, you'll want to go study again. Or not.

Then, you'll get into an uni, you might do something you like, or something you absolutely detest but have no choice doing.

Honestly, another great advice: Not everyone end up working what they studied.

So? It's like that. If you get a chance to obtain a scholarship, get it. And treasure it. Not everyone gets scholarship. And not everyone treasures it. I still remember the incident of how my English teacher back in Form 6 remembers people in London spending away their JPA scholarship on Haagen Daz. So, yeah. Treasure it. Not Haagen Daz. Treasure the scholarship!

Then, you study study study...then you come out to work. THen you will feel like going back to studying again. Hey, you get school or campus holidays then. When you work, unless you are sick or with valid reason, you have to work everyday, even with the semester holidays in schools! Yeah, it's pretty horrid to think about full day work. But you really get to be independent. Wait till you have to buy a car or a house. You will know really how to be tight on budget!

Then getting married and having kids...

Okay, I'm going too far forward.

So, rich kids still need to be independent. No offence. Unless the money's your own, you will find no qualms in spending it lavishly. Funny.

Oh well.



p/s: I wonder what has gotten into all those people taking 19 subjects in SPM. I mean, for goodness sake, what for?! All that for a scholarship? Or a chance to go to England? You will be shock to see that what you studied in Form 5 is all basic only. Basic. And it's not even correct. They cheated on the History syllabus with a picture of civilized people posing to be uncivilized. They make the carbon look easy on Chemistry. When we went into Form 6, it was like an eye-opener. It's never the same. You think it's the same. It's not. So, why bother that 19 subjects thingie? I got only 5As in my SPM out of 9 subjects. Yet, I was in Form 6 and then got into an uni associated with an UK university. ...

你说吧。。。

on the other hand:I am definitely getting lazier by the day. And I'm having killer tests! Gah.

I wish sometimes I can rewrite the scripts of some shows. Honestly, they really need to be revised. Like Taiwan Idol shows. They want to follow Korean dramas but end up being so exaggerated and in the end, they add in things that shouldn't be added but was in anyway and then it doesn't flow at all.

I turn back my focus on Korean dramas. At least they flow. Wacky or not.

Saving Private Voice

No, really. I really like routine...with surprises. Hopefully they are always good surprises.

Well, it all started with singing.

We all start with singing.

Then we venture further into the depths of the unknown, or rather, quite known...we sing for functions, sessions, we do emceeing, we talk a lot...and we do telemarketing.

Well, I most probably need to check my larynx and make sure it's not laryngitis. I mean, how can I lose my voice or come to the point of losing my voice by just speaking to more than 200 people on the phone? No, not at one time. I'm not a genius! Or a multiplier...or a cloning-myself-thingamajig...

But honestly, someone please tell me how to keep my voice un-lost. Honestly, I'm pretty annoyed by the fact that I can't belt out a tune as long as I want to anymore.

Oh mY GOSH! I'm losing my voice for eternity! OH NO! *frantically waves hands.*

Well, to quote this Hokkien fella who joined the auditions for Malaysian Idol 2:

"I can sing."

But honestly, I can sing. Now, I can't sing.

Of course, though my friends say that I sound better when my voice is hoarse a.k.a when I am about to lose my voice. Hoarser and I'll be sounding more like a frog than a lark.

Lark? what lark?

Of course I'm trying to save my voice before it's too late. Then I will lose one talent I have.

Voice aside, let me do a little promotion.

(Honestly, I don't know why they insist on such a long name. APIIT-UCTI? THe full name is just boggling. I like AU. Cause I came up with the name last time. Haha. Sadly, nobody took heed. They like it as it is. Oh well. Tradition it is. Haha...just kidding.)

Don't be surprise if the whole place looks like an office and people dressing up. Cause that's the code of professionalism about it. I don't see what is so wrong with that though there are some people who long for jeans and t-shirts and spaghettis and beanies and flat caps and all that sunglasses fad.
