Finally the big monster FYP is 95% over. 5% is the editing, printing and all the other appendices to accompany.
And God had proven that He is faithful. He knows I can finish it. I just didn't trust Him and myself enough.
One thing about me is that I often like to plan for the future, to keep me motivated for today. It's pretty "forward thinking" cause at least I have a direction I want to go. The only catch is that those plans are HUGE and I change my plans often.
So, what are the things I want to do after I finish my exams (I haven't graduate cause technically I only get my results in November. So I don't graduate till I see the transcript. And that is only unofficial. If I think right, I have to wait till August next year for my convo. Happiness.)
...
I plan to dabble a little more on video editing, since I've got the equipments and lots of music and dramas. :) I want to see how much my creativeness can take me. So most probably I will expert-fy myself in Premiere and After Effects. XD
I have always wanted to do music videos for dramas/movies. I got a list of great Korean songs just waiting for exploration. Haven't done that before, but I shall try. Probably need to get another external hard disk to store my project files.
The songs that I want to use most are Loveholic's "Echo 메아리" and Jisun's "어떡하죠 What Am I to Do?" Interestingly, both are from drama soundtracks. Though BOF is already over aeons ago, I still want to use Jisun's song for a music video. She deserves one. HEHE. As for "Echo", I didn't watch "Snow Queen 눈의 여왕" but I'm thinking in the lines of Star's Lover. Too bad, I don't have the raws for the drama. True, the drama is slow and flawed, but the cinematography is pretty. I like it. So, let me see, I'd probably use it for Hello God or other suitable drama. :) Maybe I'll get a movie instead. Yeah, movie will be great.
Why do I want to dabble in video editing? Cause I want to see how far I can pace and direct something. Besides, it's a good exercise to build up my experience. A plan of mine is to pursue an external degree in film and/or theatre. I love film, I love cinematography, I love directing, I love producting, I love the backstage. I like to see how stories unveil themselves. Of course I can't go and direct a movie right now, cause I have no experience. That's why there is that plan to pursue another degree, but not another first degree lah. Probably a Master's in film or a graduate cert. and make more friends in the film industry. I can't use my videos as my portfolio though. Too much sensitive issues. Hehe.
Another thing is to create an user manual for my mom. Don't ask for explanations.
And of course, the first plan would most probably be watch all my dramas on my list. I am currently stuck in Episode 8 of Cinderella Man and have not moved since. I almost forgot the storyline liao. I will have to watch the whole thing to give comments about it. It didn't hook me as much as Star's Lover did. Serious! I don't know why I love the slow drama. Maybe the cinematography is beautiful. Maybe the sound score is awesome. But I did want to watch it, maybe because I hoped that the next episode would have been better. It did improve at 19, but 20 was just as meh.
And of course, watch all the movies on my list! I'm stuck with more than 10 movies but I haven't touch them yet.
As I am listening to K.Will's (my favorite male singer, period.) "쇼핑 Shopping", I think I can visualize another music video. Que Sera Sera maybe? :) Perhaps I should just do a collection of Hello God music videos. Hahaha.
I'm not sure if I want to watch Tazza. I'm okay with Jang Hyuk, I'm fine with Kim Min Joon but I LOVE THE SCORE. It sounds like a film score instead of a drama score. But I'm not too keen on seeing another gambling-action drama. I'm not even captured by "Swallow The Sun 태양을 삼켜라", which I heard is raking in good ratings.
But right now, I think I'm having more than enough dramas on my plate. I'm planning to watch "My Fair Lady 아가씨를 부탁해" and "You're Beautiful 미남이시 네요" which are airing last quarter of 2009. My, has 2009 passed so fast.
So, no more dramas till the lists are exhausted. They can sing praises about whatever, but I sat through "Insoon is Pretty", so that should be enough to say about my drama taste. Not to say I thoroughly enjoyed the drama. It was another slow and confusing drama. But I like Kim Hyun Joo ever since "Marry A Millionaire". So "Partner 파트너"'s on the list.
But of course I'm not just watching boring dramas or weak dramas (which I heard Triple, unfortunately, is not as strong as its predecessor Coffee Prince). I'm watching a few good ones as well. "My Fair Lady" should be exciting enough. I haven't watch a single Yoon Eun Hye drama (surprise surprise) except for some snippets of Goong, but I know how she can carry her character well enough and I've heard enough about her. So, let MFL be the first. Then there is "Return of Iljimae 돌아온 일지매" which is pretty and another music to the ear. I'm a sucker for good soundtracks and cinematography. And ah, there is the mania drama which didn't do so well in ratings, "The Slingshot/The Story of a Man 남자이야기" but people are singing praises about. Mania dramas.
And ah, further to the east. Just because I like Kimutaku under the pen of Fukuda Yasushi, the screenwriter for my favorite dorama "Hero", I'm watching "CHANGE".
And I'm rewatching "Hello God" and "Kekkon Dekinai Otoko (a.k.a The Man Who Cannot Get Married)" from the beginning. I left out some episodes in between so I like to watch from the start again.
Okay. I sound shallow. :)

Why Do I Think Of You
If You Heard So As Well - A-Mei
I love A-Mei's voice. She is one of the Mandopop singers who I respect greatly in terms of her singing talents. I don't necessarily like all her songs, especially her fast songs, but her ballads are beautiful.
This is an old song, from her previous album "Star" before her "AMIT" album came out this year.
What does the song say? It's about this girl, who has broke up with her boyfriend. Yet, she still has to listen to all those talks about her.
So she asks if her ex had ever heard those stuff, if so, will he trust her instead of believing those rumors? Will he think about her and feel concern for her, or will he think about her just as a old friend? Then she said, "After stumbling much, I realised you are still the only one who knows me well. To think that you gave a thought about me, there's some comfort in me." In the end, she asks, "If you think about me, what would you be thinking?"
I like the lyrics. It's a little scared, yet a little happy, yet a little curious but a little sad. Great nuance training.
Anyway.
But these lines sounds exactly like me for this past few days.
(Why is it when I'm most crushed, I thought about you even more?)
...
(If you think about me, what would it be?)
I haven't been thinking about him. Suddenly I thought about him again. There's some sadness to it. There's some bittersweet memories to it. I regret many things I said to him. I regret the time when I could have responded to him nicely, but I didn't.
Well, too late.
I wish him all the happiness in the universe. He deserves it.

When I...
It's not long ago that I started making my own decisions. As in major decisions.
When I chose to make phone calls to some people and yak away on the phones for hours, I thought these friendships will last forever and ever.
When I chose to go into Form 6, I thought I was just following my sister's footsteps and easing my parents' financial burden.
When I chose to study media, I thought I was learning how to be a filmmaker.
When I chose to study media in UCTI, I thought I was going to be a background person, learning the tricks of the editing trade.
When I chose to write, I thought I can become an author or a scriptwriter.
When I chose to take singing, guitar and dancing classes all at once, I thought I was being all-rounded.
When I chose to be a perfectionist, I thought all will fall into place.
When I chose to be alone, I thought the world will come for me.
When I chose to look constipated, I thought someone will come for me.
When I chose to stop liking him, I thought he would come for me.
When I chose to stop liking another him, I knew I was right in doing so.
When I chose to obey Him, I thought about all the regrets I have.
But...
...None of those friendships lasted.
...I met great friends and found the night to be my best companion. And realised that I didn't want to do Sciences anymore.
...I realised there's a bigger world out there.
...I became jack of all trades, master of none.
...I realised my writing ain't that great to begin with anyway.
...With the workload, no way. And I just stuck with singing instead.
...Obviously not.
...I think it sent out the "I-want-to-be-alone" vibration all the more.
...I think it sent out the "I'm-too-busy-to-talk" vibration all the more.
...Obviously not.
...Best decision ever made.
...He looks at my future. Not my past. So I should look to Him and my future with Him.
And that starts another round of making decisions again. Hopefully better ones.

Ah, the dear Korean import
I know I said MIA, but I just want to say this, especially the long awaited delivery has finally come!
I got a peeve about buying CDs, especially music CDs.
I like original versions, not as in "ori" but as in from the direct source. I don't really like local printing cause they seem to take away something about it.
So it was so obvious that I would "invest" to buy Kpop CDs from Korea itself.
And it's as sweet as "It's You" to my ears.
First off, I love her voice, they are one of the electronica groups that I listen to only. You see my rotating header chock full of them:
W & Whale's first album, Hardboiled.

Love their simplistic yet unique album design, though I gripe about the thickness of the CD inset that makes it hard for it to slide into the CD case nicely, causing folds and what nots. :(
And I was okay to believe that it would be good. Cause it's GOOD. It's not too electronica like their 1.5 Random Tasks remix album, but with Whale's deep, smooth and round voice, it has a little pop sound to it with a hint of fun-poking. With songs like R.P.G which stands for Rocket Punch Generation and Agatha Christie's Another Life, it's wacky but not silly.
Talking about hardboiled, this is the other reason why I'm real flushed.

OMG, it's the Version C of Super Junior's 3rd album "Sorry, Sorry"!

Discarding CD insets, the lyrics are attached to the album like a book. Too cool. The only gripe is that there is no plastic covering for the whole thing which invites dust collection and minimal protection. :(

But at least I'm comforted to have the photo diary and personalized messages (actually not really personalized as in "Dear Rebekah...") with their autograph.
But that I gripe as well, cause I can't read Siwon's handwriting. SO SMALL and thick.
Celebrate fandom! :)
So I have a talented CD and a star CD. Nice balance.
By the way, Eunhyuk has the most appearance in the CD. Jacket, inset, CD label...

MIA
Will be MIA for the next one month.
I shall reserve my comments for later.
Let's just say that due to a fault of mine (a.k.a really bad time management), I have chose to be MIA for a while.
Toodles.

준비 to Have Mixed Response
Ever since I saw Kim Joon of T-Max on Boys Over Flowers, I just love his character and him.
Niwayz,
T-Max is back (finally!) with a new found fame, thanks to the BOF star of the group, Kim Joon.
But Joon's coming out with his solo effort first, featuring none other than his BOF cast mate, Kim Hyun Joong of SS501.
Okay, SS501ers, bash me not, but seeing Kim Hyun Joong doing that awkward wave at 00:22....reminds me so much of his BOF days...that I'm glad BOF is over. At least he always look good with that 00:27 "okay, enough fanservice" wave.
However, Kim Joon wrote his lyrics and I can't wait for the full MV to be out on YouTube in a few hours' time, even if I have to laugh all the way through the MV.

(Check out the "intense" look of Joon in 00:07.)

500
Wow, this blog is 500 post old.
And I should be doing my assignments.
Next week is a busy week. I have Punctuation Production...
and I'm managing backstage again...love being backstage. There is often this chaos which is nice.
And I don't like stressful work. Look at me here, I'm already complaining (though partly it's my procrastinating fault) about assignments.
But The Executioner's Song is set to take place at 10,11,12 July 2009...yup, next weekend. From 8 till 10 p.m., it's different from any dramas that DUMC has been producing. For one, it's darker and so more PG rated. But it's gonna be awesome and I'm excited nonetheless!
And most importantly, before the executioner's turn to sing, I have to sing first..for my first ever vocal exams! It's like going for an audition, and I'm all nervous. Everything has to be in Chinese so I have to within a week, brush up my Chinese and music skills, cause they're gonna be strict, and ask random questions like if you were astar person going for a job interview.
I hope I become better than this performance loooong time ago.
To emulate Yoda: Eloquence, I need. Emotions, I need.

Wednesday
Laggard...yet again.
Though Yesung's voice was not showcased so much, only in two stanzas...sigh. And there isn't any belting...
It's still worth your ears listening to the three best singers in Super Junior.
I can't help it. I just love their voices that much. Not so much Ryeowook, but that's just my preference. Ryeowook is a really good singer, his control is as good as the other two.
At least Kyu get a lot of lines (true to Donghae's words).
Lyrics (from cyworld):
I think one day I have to give up Kpop, if laws like banning takes place. Sigh. Well,me want a good dose of Kpop with fansubs and Youtubed MVs! You think I'd knew Infinity Challenge if I didn't watch it off Youtube?! You think I'd buy singles with only one measly track even if the single was great?! it was good while it lasted.
Wait a minute, does this mean I cannot watch HD quality Kdramas anymore. I still want to watch Triple, Man Who Cannot Get Married and Partner wei.
