Pictures Galore!

Decided to gain some revenue. Haha.

But whether got money or not, it's another thing lah.

:P

Just for the sakes. I updated some un-posted pictures about my Form 6 life. Funny how we are more close. Again, could be the size of the class. And also other misc pictures.

This is quite a out-of-focus shot. Besides, not everyone is there in the pic. But look at all the antics! Especially Sherry, Siu Fai and Larry!

My classmates wanted to take a picture about waking up...and breathe. Haha. That's an old pun.

Very old old picture. This is my first photo manipulation. ABout the Korean hot drama then in 2002,
"Autumn In My Heart". Won Bin was HOT!

The youth who dances in church. Give them time and they will shine in urban dance.

Two of the chums above in picture appeared in one of our local artiste Liang's music video. Yes, the Liang as in one of Cleo's Eligible Bachelor...as in Liang the singer with the album '8 oz of Soul'.

As in this Liang:

They had an audition or some sort cause the director of Oops Asia which Liang was/is? signed under is a member of my church. So...the news spread and people went in to audition and got their parts.

Allan and his girly pose..along with Joe at the back. (He can't remember. I'll jolt it for him!)

It's pretty weird to see these two siblings...I mean...I don't know. Julius Ceaser and his pet plant? But they won best costume. Definitely.

All right. I'm done. Stay tuned for something less picturey and more interesting.

We Are One...

on the other hand:Sherry says that if I want to popularize my blog, I should post up nude pictures of myself. Gosh, if that is what it takes, then all those who visit my blog would be perverts.

Been a little over-sarcastic lately.

It is probably due to lack of sleep, crazy assignments who ask you to research on a defunct website, and lack of time spent with God.

Then again, it could be me being careless and watch too much movies. Think Star Movies, and you'll get the picture.

This is the second time someone ever mistook me for being all banana.

And I thought I wasn't yellow enough.

But hello, I can read and write and speak Mandarin! Just not as fluent as I used to be. But it's still cool. I can still sing to all Mandarin songs. Just not Cantonese ones.

Yeah, you're all probably wondering why did I go back to my me-myself-and-I kinda blogging style after I started blogging and writing about current events. Erm. Good question. Basically, there isn't any events happening, other than the Oscars but really, I have still not been able to know the answers to that. Did Leonardo DiCaprio won? I frankly know he wouldn't have. AFter that Helen Mirren bagged the best actress...they probably give it to another Inspired-By-True-Story-I'm-The-Guy-Who-Was-Really-Real actor.

I happened to keep track of my blog counter. And they even keep track of how many Google searches includes my site. Frankly, the things people search for is incredible. Okay, other than things like Gubra, or people like Sharifah Amani...those are still quite normal. But the most interesting ones is some people really Google names.

Like Sherry Wong.

Like Yun Tjin.

Like Malvin Ong Kim Seng.

Like Tze Nie.

And I know these people. Maybe I should try Googling and see whether it'll pop up in my screens.

They also Google things like:

Hitting someone in the groin. (Now, did I talk about that? Hmm....I don't think so. Maybe I wrote about hitting someone. Just not in the groin.)

Yeah. All the dirty secrets of blog countering.

See?

I told you I have no events to report about. Well, our very own local diva is invited to step on the Grammy mat a.k.a red carpet. Why can't they come up with another color? Red is getting cliche. Give it a star-studded mat? Haha.

Anyway, she is supposed to wear a kebaya. Err. I don't remember if kebaya looks like that.

Really. Does that look like a kebaya to you?

Bias

Settling for something more bimbo right now.

Jared was quite surprised to hear that I like dancing.

Let me clarify:

I like to watch dancing. I know I have two left feet...and thus I can't dance.

But I like to watch people dance. And it must be urban kind of dance...not ballroom dancing, not Latin dance...but urban dance, those synchronised stuff like you watch on music videos.

Therefore, for those who read my Friendster profile, those Chinese singers that I like is because of one major thing, other than they can sing and write songs..it's because they can dance. Jay Chou can dance though I also like his songs for the way he wrote them. Jolin Tsai and Wilber Pan can really dance. Wilber also can rap well. JJ, S.H.E...all those because they can dance and sing. Lee Hom can dance, but I prefer his piano skills and falsettos. F.I.R is rock all the way. 183 Club is because I watched dramas featuring them. Ha. And the rest is because they can sing and play...and all that. But dance...yeah. Dance baby.

Surprising huh?

I know I certainly don't look it. Cause I can't dance. Period.

English singers?

I like them for their powerful voice. Yeah, LeAnn, Kelly, all the rest. They can sing. Period.

Okay, I'm digressing.

And I'm suppose to be doing my ASSassignment!

Hmph.

Valentine Pinks

on the other hand:
won't be updating much after next week. Thanks to exams and deadlines. Two subjects, but halfway cannot handle-liao. How?

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

It's the season of love or Valentine's month. People always have this weird habit on naming the whole month a celebration though it really only falls on one day. You will have the National Day Month, the Thanksgiving Day Month, the Christmas Day Month, the Valentine's Day Month, but New Year's Day is only a day. On the 2nd of January, many either slumps over couches and other house's floors recovering from a hungover. Some already slump at the 1st itself. If not, sleeping through 1st and 2nd of January usually happens. Hehe.

But Valentine's and the aforementioned ones are really different. I guess it's the celebration that becomes a little too commercialised, no? Come, look at it. You have department stores starting their promotion in end of January. You hear advertisement talking about love. Promotions promotions promotions! Teddy bear sales start to go up. Roses start to bloom more often...Willy Wonka churn out more goodies...

And even after Valentine's Day, some places are still celebrating love and watching lovey dovey movies. Italiannies is still full every weekend and the best is that things are gets cheap after that. (just so to sell off dying roses and moulding chocolates...) Talk about getting a good price for a date! Guys don't need to whine or gape at their monthly allowance disappear by mid-February and roses will still wilt, fresh or not, so might as well get a dying one eh?

Of course, girls, if that's the case, dump the guy! He's not willing to spend anything for you. Though of course, if you like wilting flowers and moulding chocolates (ooh! is it frosting?), then I guess you should be happy as well, no?

But it's one of the most expensive months, I tell you.

Now, don't get me wrong. I'm happy with Valentine's Day. I think that it's appropriate for everyone to celebrate love, teddy bears or not. It's a time where couples all around are reminded that hey, there is such a thing call love. It's a time to renew commitment, go stronger and celebrate anniversaries (if the guy ever forgets when was the exact date), and maybe celebrate birthdays (like Larry's)!

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

But I rather dislike the ideas of teddy bears, flowers (esp. roses) and chocolates for V day. I see the stall in my campus today selling exactly all these and I stick my tongue out at them. (Not in front of them of course!) And V day must be red and pink! Just because the major part of the heart is red and pink, doesn't mean it must be red and pink! There's bluish-green-purplish too you know...

As Adam Savage of Mythbusters say, "I reject your reality and substitute it with my own." So, I want to see more creativity...no, don't bother about Ferrero Rocher bouquets. It's getting cliche. Give something else to your loved ones. Surprise them with different things. C'mon, you are born with creativity! Use it!

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

And oh, please don't play songs like "Because of You" by Kelly Clarkson of a Valentine's Day! It is an inappropriate song...don't you think? Play ballads like Babyface's "Everytime I Close My Eyes", Brian McKnight's "Back At One", Clay Aiken's "The Way" and duets like Richard Marx and Donna Lewis' "At The Beginning", Jon Secada and Shanice's "If I Never Knew You", even the classic Carpenter's "Close To You" or Nat King Cole's "L.O.V.E"...there are so many great love songs...so don't pick breakup songs or worse, depressing songs!

Yes, I am a hopeless romantic.

Celebrate love! It's a divine feeling, as my lecturer would put it. But add in some dose of creativity...or at least stop buying teddy bears, chocolates and roses. They are just too commercialised. Unless of course you planted the rose yourself...or you own Cadbury...or Lovely Lace...or Hallmark...or Paris. Of course if you insist, then it's your choice, now. Isn't it? Roses, honestly, are beautiful, I like them. But I like them to be a surprise. Not a V day thingie.

Now, don't be cruel to those who are single. Singles, go join friends! Go have fun with your chums...laugh at all the awkwardness of romance, watch chick flick till you drop even if you are a guy, sing out of tune terrible, dance in your two left feet...hey, you might just impress your date next time. Don't cry if you don't have a date. I don't. Be your own Valentine. Life is as colorful as one with dates.

And those who choose to break a relationship during V day...I don't know. I do pity you and the other party. Well, take solace that you can actually scurry into the crowds and disappear as soon as possible. Just don't wear bright florescent green or pink or yellow though. If not, for your date, it is V day for sure. V for Vendetta!

Again, people like Sherry, don't get too sad. You will get to celebrate Valentine's. Just not tomorrow. :P

Let love rule! Celebrate celebrate!

Crash Bang Whoom

on the other hand:
I am so in love with film scores right now. Besides all the Christian music I've been drowning my ears again, I have been listening to film scores from Narnia...so cool. I love film scores. They are just so majestic...and beautiful. I swoon over great ochestra ensembles.

People, when drive car, please be careful.

Don't go at high speed during rainy day on wet roads. Even if your car has ABS.

See people depress the brakes, please depress your brakes too.

Worse come to worst, please make sure you have insurance.

And don't wear cotton shirt or/and pants to the police station. Even if you don't smoke, you will smell too much like one.

And go for medical checkup.

Maybe for some psychological checkup too.

So, pay attention to the road.

And if you do get into the accident, it's better to get hit (your car, not you) then you hit.

If you do get hit, get medical assistant lah, aiyo!

Make sure your brake lights all work beautifully.

Then again, make sure your brakes work!

So, again, all in all, be careful, people!

Monday

Desktops

on the other hand:
I started a wishlist on my sidebar. Maybe one day I will be able to fulfill those wishlists..or if I could be blessed by some people for my birthday and christmas. XD. lovely.

I love change...in a good way. Not all the time I like change. Sometimes you can change but I do admit, I do like doing things the old way sometimes. But some rules should change. Like the rule of no liquid papers/blank-o(?) in schools. Hey, even pens can be used to draw graffiti okay. Doesn't mean that only liquid papers are the culprits. And it is as hard to rub out pen marks.

But then, I'm not in secondary school anymore.

But this change I'm talking about is desktops. I often change my desktop images. I cry at the images that Windows XP has in its system. That is why I go for Pixel Girl Presents.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

They have the oddest desktop images and the coolest ones. Very much of their desktops are minimalist or abstract. It is like placing one jar of strawberries in the middle against a white background and there, you got your desktop.

pixelgirlpresents.com

Mind you, all these are made by everyone who wants to contribute.

The desktop images are usually in 1024x768 pixels and above to suit most computer screens...which are 15" and above...Not that I can say anything about those 12" monitors on the Dell XPS or equivalent.

pixelgirlpresents.com

Once in a while, I browse through the desktop images and save whichever is cool...then I just placed them up..whenever I feel like changing, I change ler...

pixelgirlpresents.com

Sometimes, the pictures follow my mood. So when I am a bit reflective and gone, I would change it to something more contemplative and natural.

pixelgirlpresents.com

Their desktop images inspire me in many ways. I know it sounds odd, but hey, everytime you switch on the computer, the first thing that you see on your monitor will be your desktop. (Forget the loading XP logo thingie.)

Other than desktop images, they also have icons for Mac & Windows. So, if you feel tired with those folders, change it to be Star Wars like...this enables you to change the icon without changing the theme. Hey, who gets to see their 'Recycle Bin' icon in the form of Gollum everyday? (Okay, so maybe that doesn't do the justice.)

http://www.policespecials.com

Not only so, they also welcome donations (don't all...I WELCOME DONATIONS TOO!) and sell cute or weird stuffs...

Of course, only some will like these kind of desktop images. :)
