Detox

on the other hand:I got this small fetish for thoseTickle tests, though all the test results doesn't show any bit truth to my personality.

Having a week of hols now though I won't call it a real holiday since I hope to finish 2 of my assignments during this break. So, go figure.

I am actually looking forward to August. Yeah, I always like August because my birthday falls in that month. So yeah, happy happy joy joy.

No, that's not really the reason why I like August. I like the fall foliage, but of course, I know that sweeping those leaves would be an Everest task.

No, that's not the reason I like August this year. They never place a nice picture in the calendars during August. I'm serious! Usually September is pretty, July's picturesque but August is just plain ugly.

No no no! Heck, I'm digressing more than ever. Hmph.

Anywayz. I like August because I would have finished my first year in my uni and I am actually amazed that one year really do pass that fast. So I would have holidays ler. Haha. Yeah, yeah. Lame reason I know.

But as the days count down to my 21st, I wonder how it would be like to be officially an "adult".

I want to also launch a month's punya detoxification diet. Since I can't really detox when I'm in campus because they don't sell light and lean food in the cafeteria. I want to do an experiment to see whether it works. No, I'm not going on a diet. I am just wondering if it would work, the detox diet. So, I say August as the health month for Rebekah Lee...

You might ask me why I suddenly have this crazy idea in my head. Honestly? It was because of something my friend said. So, I realised that it isn't good to lead an unhealthy lifestyle. But of course, I really don't know if I'll be able to detox completely or keep to that detox diet! Hahaha...knowing my own tendencies. But of course, I said I'm just trying. It's good to strive being healthy.

Or, maybe I'm just growing old. Haha...

To those knowing my eating habits...I will still go out with friends and eat McDs, KFC, whatever else...but in August and September, I want to see if I can survive eating those stuff. Yeah, yeah. It probably sound as weird.

But it's not even July yet! Hahaha...so July comes and I will update you people more ler.

As for now, it's a far away plan.

I'm not being obnoxious okay...it's only for a month or two anyway. It's not like I'm going to be a vegan or whatever. Now, that's something I won't become, no matter how this detox diet go. Meat is always on the menu for me. I say it again, I AM NOT GOING TO BE A VEGETARIAN.

There, I said it.

All that food mentioning is making me hungry.

ending digression:If you have not heard of Brooke Fraser, go listen to this New Zealander. Her vocals are so cool! Absolutely love her new album, Albertine!

A Deeper Understanding

It had been...a good week, interestingly. I had tremendous fun with my friends, except some moments when time has been more cynical..Now my friends are complaining that I'm getting too cynical...just like a media critic.

Oh well. I'd better be a little more efficient in time management. I have 5 assignments and I am stuck with no ideas and a bout of laziness.

Well, I am quite settled into uni life, thanks to the new intake chums who are as talkative as me. Haha...just kidding.

I got interviewed again...this time on video camera and my picture was taken...unfortunately with my hair a little ruffled. I didn't even have time to look in the mirror...so if you guys ever receive Campus Plus in your campus, skip the interview page. Anyway, it mayn't be even up there...the editors probably see my picture and say..."Wah, she got into a fight ah?"

Hahaha..

Okay, it's not THAT bad. But if it is, tell me okay? So I can go dig a hole and stick my head into it.

Or get a new hairdo.

Anywayz.

As I have spent more time with my guy friends recently, I am actually surprised and a little pleased with what they say about girls. But then after that, I was like..."Men."

But I had a deeper understanding of guys, since spending time with them. Even so, I won't say I understand fully per se. I am still a little confused sometimes about guys...but hey, as they say, you get wiser when you get older. So, maybe that's why I could understand better...

Okay, you people may be wondering what in the world I am saying.

I am suddenly interested in PlayStation 2. It's all John's fault lah. He brought it to campus...

Oh well..at least there is a consolation that a better understanding of guys brings to a more mature view of them. HAHAHA. Okay, that sounds so degrading of me.

But hey, guys, not every girl is the same okay? Not every girl likes chocolate and flowers for Valentine's...or teddy bears..

Though the guys could be more specific in what they want for birthdays and/or Christmas. I find buying presents for them seems like an elephantine task, so I give up buying already. Men.

Okay, I am speaking in randomness today.

Vrroom Vrroom...

Today's my first time hitting 110 km/h in a relatively new car.

Today's the first time someone took me go drifting.

Today's the first time I drove an auto car.

Today's the first time I was interviewed twice by a celebrity.

Today's the first time I saw Liang face to face and actually spoke to him.

Today's the first time I went to the AU Sports Carnival.

Today's the first time I saw V's girlfriend and talked to her.

Today's the first time I had cotton candy after a long time.

Today's the first time I talked to my campus student counsellor for more than a few seconds.

Today's the first time I could be myself and kidded with my seniors.

Today's the first time I see clowns in a Sports Carnival.

Today's the first time I went APIIT Smart School in Subang.

But today's not the first time I joined a Sports Day.

But today's not the first time I drive another manual car other than my own car.

But today's not the first time I break traffic rules. (Oops. Not my fault directly anyway. :S)

But today's not the first time I got bored tired and came back early. (Ha!)

But today's not the first time I missed my friend's game.

But today's not the first time I got interviewed in front of a camera. (though the camera was a digital camera with video recording abilities.)

But today's the first time I did test driving. I always have this fear of banging the car or something else, but then V and his girlfriend were encouraging me to just go for it. Then, I kiasu...so I went and test drive...

...a Proton Savvy with AMT transmission...

..and a Proton Satria Neo manual transmission...

Honestly? I'm a little surprised at what the two cars can do...though for a while I thought my heart's gonna jump out when this guy took us go drifting in a Satria Neo...

I don't know anything much about cars except what I learn from reading, listening to my dad and watching Discovery Real Time, Jeremy Clarkson and the DW's program about cars...so I can't give a definite evaluation.

What I can say is...

Savvy hug corners real well. If you are thinking of it, it's suitable for practical use...a little bigger and taller than the Kelisa, smaller than the Myvi. But around the same stuff..except a thingamajig called AMT transmission or Auto-Manual transmission. So pretty interesting to drive...thence, my first time driving an auto car. Well, at least I have some confidence driving the Myvi auto now. Hmph.

Satria is more for the speed afficionados. It's chassis is more stable (for a new car) so when go through bumps, it's cool and smooth. And being a bigger car and higher cubic centimeter (1600 cc) capacity, so when driving at high speed, it's still stable. (Same goes for every big cars.) Yeah...then the guy took us go drifting a little. Haha. But practicability? Nay. If you are a tall person, Satria's the headache..literally, cause its roof and seat distance is small and thence, it's like a Gen-2, not careful, and you'll get your head hit over a bump. You want speed, then Satria's the thing. If not, it will be like owning a Skyline but riding at 80 km/h. Well, Proton did get overboard with their Lotus technology. Thence, the cars don't sell well. And thus Proton's facing a problem with over production and under sales...they should come out with more practical models though. Nice looking, and practical.

But...it was a nice drive. It's always nice to drive new cars.

Now...next car to test drive...Perodua Viva. (to which John sang: Viva forever...and then I missed my name during attendance roll in Malaysian Studies class because got so fascinated with the article.)

I'm sticking to smaller cars now...big cars seem a little too overbearing. For now, the Kelisa and Myvi still works well.

Brain Stoned

on the other hand:I think I have become really really stupid. I don't even understand what institutional barriers are. And to this point of time, I only have a vague idea. Oh. Wow.

I am loaded with individual assignments, group assignments, leading two groups assignments, having many tutorials, two case studies to complete...

Yup, this is college life. So fun.

But it's good in one way cause at least it's helping me to start my stagnant brain going again. I feel as if this is a good exercise. Though I don't know why. I thought all the jigsaw puzzles and "Where's Wally" kind of puzzles should already help my brain to grow active.

Apparently not.

And I have schedules to keep. I don't know why but this semester I find myself a little lazier than usual. Maybe it's the final semester. Maybe I only had ONE week of semester break instead of TWO weeks or even one month during my second sem and this current sem. (and all my friends were like asking, "So, you're on hols now?" to which I wonder, "What hols?") So my brain couldn't reboot properly. It's like being in high school all over again. Homework, homework, assignment, no holidays, homework, assignments, assignments, long classes...

Well, at least I still get to enjoy a little free time sometimes...and yes, I have every intention of scoring some nice distinctions. And finishing my assignments earlier.

If only my brain could process faster in business matters. When it comes to business modules, my brain slows down to Pentium 2 or 3. All other modules, I am geared in Pentium 4 or Core Duo.

That's why I always tell everyone, "Don't talk to me about economics or business stuff. I don't have a brain of a business woman." ... or at least along the lines.

Probably that's why I got a low credit instead of a high credit or higher distinction for my Marketing paper. Yeah. And some are encouraging me to take up marketing as my major. Hmm.
