Since my Chinese is still as bad as rotten egg, so to read a Chinese language-ladened article is no joke.
But imagine my dumbfounded-ness when I read the headline:
dead?
Edison Chen having clashes with triads (?) - Rumors of his death spreads. (Chinese)
Wow. As if the scandal wasn't enough.
To summarize the article:
Due to the numerous scandalous sex pictures and whatever Edison Chen did with a string of rich girls and celebs, and some were said to believed to be tied up to tycoons and triad bosses or leaders...when you hit on a big brother's wife/sister/daughter, it's not going to be pretty. So, there's been threats (I think) and some in the industry believed Chen has kicked the bucket cause he just seemed to disappear. His boss can't reach him on his phone, yada yada yada.
So basically, this bigger-than-Paris-Hilton-sex-scandal-scandal is pretty much a hot topic in the Eastern media, till speculations arises that he's dead.
There goes if you don't know how to keep your pants on all the time.
Another shocking story is Angela Zhang's heart problem which was causing financial setbacks in her career. Due to mitral valve prolapse, Angela has to cancel many of her tours and roadshows and all those that celebs like her do when they get popular. Poor girl lost weight till she's about 35 kg. And she disregarded all that, went back to work so she could pay her debts!
35 kg! I used to weigh 35 kg when I was in Form 1!
This goes to say that celebrities do work like scullery-maids when they have to. So tip: if you ever become a celebrity, save money and spend less! But of course that is impossible when you have so many luxuries you need.
eh, my hairstyle now look like her. HAHAHA. not.
And she is already thin to begin with.
