Okay, another Chinese post. But I'm sharing a song...by Guang Liang, written by him lah. Sang firstly by Fish Leong and still remain one of my favorite songs.
To love mean to take risk.

Translation (direct):
I finally made the decision
I don't care what others say
But you must be sure too
I'm willing to go anywhere with you
I know it's not going to be easy
I keep on consoling myself
I am just afraid that you suddenly want to quit
Love really needs courage
To face all kinds of rumors
As long as you are confident
My love would be meaningful
We all need to be brave
To believe that we will be together
Amidst the crowd I can still feel you
Your true self placed in my hand (something like that lah.)
If I am too stubborn
And it hurts you accidentally
Can you please gently remind me
Although I may be agitated
But I would be even more afraid to lose you
Yeah, basically the meaning is something like that. Then again, never never change Chinese to English, sounds so odd. Like the song 十面埋伏 (ten-faced-hiding...hahahahha!) sang by S.H.E is a Chinese idiom...the English could be ...House of Flying Daggers...hahaha...yeah, its the Zhang Zi Yi and Takeshi whatever-his-name-was...show by the same name in Chinese. And 183 Club's 感情线 (Line of Emotion/Affection) is translated as Affective Line..(what.) so...you can call it lost in translation ler.
Don't say 'Sarang' to Malay speakers though if you want to profess love to them...'cinta' is good enough. Korean may be love, but in Malay it means bird's nest. So...unless they know Korean lah. :)
Talking about 'Sarang'...this Malaysian Today, some local fun paper...really annoyed me. They did a coverage on 8TV's Summer Live Concert which I also did a 'coverage' ... and the one that irked me was the part where they talked about JJ's 'girlfriend' on stage and guess what the song name became?
"Sha La Hei Yo Only To You.."
What is 'sha la hei yo'?
The rest of the translation is alright because it's correct..but at least do some research before you write lah. There are Koreans in Malaysia too you know.
Then there is the movie title translations...really priceless sometimes.
